Experience History. The Monterey Pass Battlefield Park and Museum is hosting a Living History Weekend event from April 13-14, featuring Civil War reenactments, demonstrations, featured speakers and authors, as well as family-friendly activities like horse-drawn wagon rides, providing visitors with an immersive experience transporting them back to the era of the American Civil War.

Go Fishing. The annual Kids Trout Derby is taking place on Saturday, April 13, at the American Legion Grounds in Greencastle. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and fishing lines can be cast starting at 8 a.m. This event is open to the public, and all kids up to age 15 are invited to participate. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be provided, and there will be prize giveaways throughout the day. No adult fishing is allowed.

Head to the Speedway. Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD will be hosting a Fan Appreciation Night event on Saturday, April 13 at 5 p.m. The event will feature a classic car meet and greet, as well as racing series including Modified, semi-late, and pure stock cars. Admission is $30 for the pits and $10 for general admission, with free entry for kids 12 and under accompanied by a paying adult, and $5 off for students, seniors, and those with military ID.

The 10th Annual Greencastle-Antrim Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival on Saturday, April 13 offers a vibrant experience with a diverse selection of local craft beverages, live music, food, games, and the opportunity to interact with producers, providing attendees with a festive and immersive event in downtown Greencastle.

Hear Great Music. The Mercersburg Area Community Chorus & Orchestra will be performing a concert featuring music by renowned composers such as Bach, Handel, Copland, and Bernstein on April 13 and 14 at 3 p.m. in the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Mercersburg Academy, conducted by Dr. Mark Hartman, providing the community with an opportunity to enjoy great music in a beautiful setting.
