WAYNESBORO- The community of Waynesboro came together on Friday, April 26, to celebrate the opening of the highly anticipated student art exhibition at Gallery 50 in downtown Waynesboro. The opening event was a resounding success, drawing a large crowd of art enthusiasts, proud parents, and supporters of the Waynesboro Area High School’s talented student artists. The evening was filled with excitement and creativity as visitors explored the diverse array of artwork on display, ranging from vibrant paintings and intricate drawings to thought-provoking sculptures and multimedia installations. The gallery was abuzz with energy as guests mingled, admired the students’ work, and engaged in lively discussions about the pieces. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Loose Screws, a local band, provided live music that perfectly complemented the artistic ambiance. The soulful melodies and rhythmic beats created a lively and engaging backdrop for the event, further enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Continuing the Celebration: Weekend Hours

The opening night celebration was just the beginning of the student art exhibition at Gallery 50. The gallery will remain open to the public on Saturday, April 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 from noon to 3 p.m., allowing more members of the community to experience the exceptional work of these talented young artists.
