Hagerstown Aviation Museum Offers Open-Cockpit Flying Experience

HAGERSTOWN- The Hagerstown Aviation Museum is offering a unique opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to experience the thrill of open-cockpit flying in a 1943 Fairchild PT-19 Primary Trainer. The rides are available on Thursday, August 3, for a $200 donation.

The Fairchild PT-19 is a historic aircraft that was used to train pilots during World War II. It has a wingspan of 36 feet and 11 inches, an engine of 1x Ranger L-440-3 inverted, and a loaded weight of 2,736 pounds.

The museum is offering a limited number of PT-19 rides, with only five rides pre-scheduled. Interested individuals are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible, as sign-ups are first come, first served. This is a great opportunity for aviation enthusiasts to experience the thrill of open-cockpit flying in a historic aircraft.
