Celebrate Spring. The 4th Annual Spring Fest at Backroads Greenhouse will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can look forward to shopping from a variety of vendors and local food trucks, as well as browsing the greenhouse’s extensive selection of annuals, perennials, ferns, planters, hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs, succulents, houseplants, and seeds.

Discover Local Craftsmanship. The Wood Crafter Expo & Food Truck Festival will take place on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Penn National Golf Course Community’s Trellis Terrace. This free event will feature local artists showcasing their handcrafted wood creations made from the lumber of a champion black oak tree that once stood on the property. In addition to the wood crafters, there will be a variety of food trucks on site and live music throughout the day, making it a fun-filled community celebration honoring the legacy of this historic tree.

Explore Prehistoric Wonders. Dinosaur World Live promises a roarsome, interactive experience for the whole family, bringing a prehistoric world of astonishingly life-like dinosaurs to the stage. Audiences will have the chance to meet a variety of impressive creatures, including the iconic Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor, and Segnosaurus. After the show, brave explorers can even get up close with the dinosaurs during a special meet and greet. Dinosaur World Live will he held at Luhrs Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 28, at 3 p.m.

Immerse in the Cosplay Craze. The Four State Comic Con will be held on April 27-28, at the Hagerstown Community College ARCC Gymnasium in Hagerstown, MD. The event will feature over 50,000 sq. ft of exhibits and activities related to comics, anime, sci-fi, and cosplay. Highlights include contests, panels, and celebrity appearances. On Sunday, April 28, former WWE star James Ellsworth will be an exclusive guest, and he will be bringing other stars from the ACW as well. Additionally, there will be a Silent Art Auction held both days of the event.

Discover “Cat-I-Tude” art. The Valley Art Association is hosting a special art show this month called “Cat-I-Tude” at the Mansion House North Gallery. The show features works by the association’s members, primarily depicting house cats and some wild cats in a variety of artistic mediums. The gallery is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and the “Catitude” exhibit runs from April 26 to April 28, providing an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the creative interpretations of felines by the talented local artists. The Mansion House Art Gallery is located at 480 Highland Way in Hagerstown, Maryland, within the City Park.
