WAYNESBORO- The Waynesboro Area YMCA will hold it’s 8th Annual STROKES, SPOKES, & STRIDES Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, June 10.

The triathlon course can be completed as an individual or as part of a three person relay team. Athletes of all levels are encouraged to compete – experienced cross trainers, families as well as first time competitors.

We’re excited for another great year! We heard nothing but positive feedback from the athletes who have competed the triathlon. They love the course, the atmosphere and the finisher medals and swag bags and our members love cheering for the athletes!

The triathlon start, swim, transition area and finish are located at the Y. The swim portion of the event is held in the Y’s six-lane, 25meter pool; the bike and run routes will take athletes through tree lined neighborhoods and farmland throughout Waynesboro. We also offer two additional race day events: Aquavelo (swim/bike) and Duathlon (run/bike/run).

The Triathlon provides support to our ever growing Waynesboro Area YMCA Waves Swim Team. All funds raised will be used for athlete training and development, coach training and certification, and timing equipment. We strive to develop a strong mind, body and spirit with each child that participates on our team. The Waynesboro Area YMCA will be open for use, however the parking lot will be closed until 12 noon for the safety of our athletes.
