WAYNESBORO- Market Day, Waynesboro’s largest vendor market of the year, returned to Main Street in downtown Waynesboro on Saturday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, brought to the community by Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc., featured dozens of local small business vendors selling a variety of goods, including food and beverages, art and crafts, and more. There were also sidewalk sales and live music and entertainment throughout the day.
For the kids, there was a Kid Zone featuring a bounce house, train ride, face painting, carnival activities, hands-on STEM workshop, magic show at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., horse and pony rides, fire trucks, kids barrel rides, and face painting.
Adults enjoyed the Chili Cook-Off Contest and Corn Hole Tournament from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or relaxed and enjoyed live music in the Main Street Park with Drew Adams from Noon to 2 p.m., Center of Gravity 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to the vendors and entertainment, there was also a scarecrow contest and a professional pumpkin carver on site. Local businesses also sponsored the event, making it a truly community-driven event.
