WAYNESBORO – Faith United Methodist Church and a local car club have teamed up to donate sneakers to Waynesboro Area School District (WASD) students in need.
The church was contacted by Rita Kugler over the summer, who expressed an interest in donating sneakers to students. Kugler and the church collected names and shoe sizes for 30 students, and then worked with the car club to purchase the sneakers.
Reverend Grove along with Mr. and Mrs. Kugler delivered the sneakers to the Clayton Ave Administration office. All of the sneakers were distributed to the students.
