CHAMBERSBURG- On Wednesday, Sept. 20, The Chambersburg Police Department was officially welcomed home. Dr. Ron Camacho and Council President Allen Coffman were honored to cut the ceremonial ribbon alongside Senator Mastriano and Representative Rob Kauffman.

This renovation represents years of dedicated planning and brings the department’s vision of 21st century policing full circle. The department would like to thank Senator Mastriano and Representative Rob Kauffman (pictured), as well as Congressman Dr. Joyce for their continued and unwavering support, without which, this project would not have been possible.

The department would also like to thank and recognize the support from the Borough Councils, past and present, as well as former Mayor Walt Bietsch, as he was instrumental in securing key funding for this project.

Over the next couple of weeks, the department will complete the physical move back to 116 S. 2nd Street and will be fully operational on October 5, 2023.
