Washington County Historical Society to Host Antique Treasure Show

HAGERSTOWN, MD- The Washington County Historical Society is hosting an Antique Treasure Show on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Beaver Creek School Museum located at 9702 Beaver Creek Church Road, Hagerstown.

The event is inspired by the popular PBS program “Antique Road Show” and allows individuals to have live appraisals of their treasures.

From 1 to 3 p.m., guests can get quick appraisals from the panel of appraisers. From 3 to 4 p.m. the appraisers will present in-depth appraisals on objects submitted to them ahead of time. For an in-depth written appraisal by one of the appraisers, individuals can contact the Washington County Historical Society at [email protected] or (301)-797-8782 by Sunday, Sept. 10. In-depth appraisals are $20 and will be done by one of the appraisers and available to the first 16 requests.

Spectators are welcome to attend the event and tour the interior of the Beaver Creek School Museum. Admission for guests is $5-$20.

The Antique Treasure Show is a great opportunity for individuals to have their treasures appraised by experts and learn more about their historical significance.
