WAYNESBORO- Monday, July 24, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will close the Long Pine Run Reservoir parking lot in the Michaux State Forest for renovations and the addition of restroom facilities.

The closure is expected to last at least four weeks, during which access to the boat launch and the parking lot will be restricted. Crews will be working diligently to renovate the parking lot and improve visitor amenities. The addition of restroom facilities will enhance the experience for visitors to the reservoir. However, due to the construction, increased truck traffic is expected on Milesburn Road during this period.

For updates and more information about the closure and renovation project, please visit the DCNR website at http://www.dcnr.pa.gov/…/Fin…/Michaux/pages/default.aspx.

The DCNR is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors to the Michaux State Forest. The renovations to the Long Pine Run Reservoir parking lot and the addition of restroom facilities will contribute to the overall improvement of the recreational area.
