Waynesboro Police Remind Residents to Lock their Vehicles

WAYNESBORO — The Waynesboro Police Department is warning residents of increased criminal activity involving vehicle thefts and thefts from parked vehicles in the borough.

Police said in a news release that residents should take precautions when parking their vehicles, such as closing the windows, removing the keys and locking all doors. They also advised residents to park in well-lighted areas and to remove or secure valuables in locked trunks or glove compartments.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to the police at 717-762-2131. Police said they are available to answer any questions or provide additional information on tips for securing personal property.
