Get Football Ready. Football camp and community night will be held on Saturday, July 8 at Otterbein Park in Waynesboro. This free event begins at 3 p.m. and will have bounce houses, food trucks, live music, summer games and of course a football camp. Football camp begins at 3 p.m. and is for ages 6 through 18. Shop ‘Til You Drop. Greencastle sidewalk days will be held Friday, July 7, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, July 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event features 20 food vendors and nearly 100 merchant vendors in downtown Greencastle.

Catch a Flick. The Waynesboro Theatre on Friday, July 7, – Saturday, July 8, 7 p.m.; “dungeons and dragons honor among THIEVES” (PG-13 2:15) A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic, but their charming adventure goes dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Tickets: Adults $6, Children $5 

Learn a New Sport. Fling Golf Night. Friday July 7th, 5 to 7 p.m. Learn the basics of fling golf. There will be cotton candy, snow cones and more. $5 for adults (kids free w/ paying adult)

Meet Mr. Root. Frostburg State University’s Mountain City Traditional Arts will host free Friday afternoon Summer Concert Series for children and families on Friday, July 7, at 1 p.m. with hip hop artist and educator Jamaal Collier – or “Mr. Root”. By incorporating rapping and vocal percussion with a dynamic stage presence, “Mr. Root” introduces children to the art of rapping, performance poetry, free styling, beatboxing and lyrical exercises for an afternoon of creative fun.
