Meet Brody, our Pet of the Week! This seven-year old pup is a new arrival to our adoption floor but has been with us since November 2022 receiving medical care. He is now ready to find a forever home to relax his senior years away in!
When Brody first came to us he had a bad case of mange and unknown allergies. We have since discovered that he has an allergy to turkey and turkey by-product and he has done well with other protein based food. His adoptive home will have to continue this and ensure he is not receiving treats or food that contains anything he is allergic to.

Brody does well walking on leash and has the gist of his basic manners, but could always use some reminders! He LOVES stuffed and squeaky toys, maybe a little too much, as he does enjoy tossing them around and shredding them. He has enjoyed playing tug-of-war and loves to chase tennis balls around the yard. Brody loves ear and butt scratches and will happily lay down to have his belly rubbed. Once he has gotten his energy out, Brody loves to lay down for a snooze or to cuddle up by your feet to relax. He is not destructive with blankets or cot-style dog beds but we would not recommend stuffed beds for this goofy boy!

Brody would do best in a home without cats and possibly other dogs. He has been very selective with other dogs here at the shelter but we would be open to a meet-and-greet! Brody has done well with people of all sizes and ages but any children in the home should be aware that he is getting up there in age and may need time where he is not bothered so he can relax.

If you are looking for a sweet older pup, Brody may be the boy for you!
