Rose Thompson wants her customers to feel at home when they browse through her shop, Rose’s Collectibles.

“I like talking to people. I make them feel welcome. My customers tell me, ‘We have so much fun when we come in your store,'” Thompson said. “And if they just want to talk, I’ll make them a cup of coffee. We have a good time in here.”

Rose’s Collectibles offers new and used clothes, pots and pans, toys, jewelry, and more.

“We have a little bit of everything,” Thompson said.

Last month, Thompson relocated her business from the Wayne Heights Mall to 114 Walnut St. in Waynesboro.

She operated a store in Harrisburg before moving to the area. “I was getting bored and decided to open up another one,” she explained.

And there are two things that make Rose’s Collectibles unique.

Thompson said she keeps her prices low so people can afford to buy. “God wrote his tablets in stone. Our prices are not written in stone. They are negotiable,” she said. “If they want something and don’t have enough money, we work it out. ”

The store also features a weekly silent auction. “Customers write down their bid and then on Friday, I call them to let them know that they’ve won.”

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday or find it on Facebook.
