WAYNESBORO—The Buchanan Trail Quilters met recently for a program and to plan upcoming activities.

Nancy Bills, of Fayetteville, presented a program, “What to Do with Things and Projects You Don’t Know What to Do With”.

Her presentation included suggestions that scraps of batting can be used as Swiffer clothes; a Mr. Clean Eraser can be used to clean an iron; and orphan blocks can be cut using a template and be appliqued on to another project. The tips were in addition to examples of Bills’ quilts.

The Guild will decorate a tree with quilted and hand-sewn ornaments for display in the Land O’ Christmas at the Counting House on the Square on Main Street (former Citizen’s Bank building).  The holiday-themed trees may be viewed from 5 – 8 p.m. Nov. 19 during the Waynesboro Tree Lighting and weekends through Dec. 12.

Buchanan Trail Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro. Guests are welcome. For more information, contact Julie Sanchez at [email protected].
