HARRISBURG– Secretary Russell Redding has announced the availability of $13 million in tax credits to Pennsylvania farmers for measures to improve soil and water quality. ROUZERVILLE—The Washington Township Police Department will host a free community event full of family fun for National Night Out. The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lowe’s parking lot, 12925 Washington Township Blvd. The event will include emergency vehicle displays, race car displays, games for kids, community vendors, food vendors, music, a landing by the WellSpan WellFlight helicopter (weather permitting) and the popular “Dunk a Police Officer” tank. WAYNESBORO—Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a Waynesboro man who allegedly conducted “sleep studies” on his victims and they are asking others who have been a victim to come forward. According to police, David Clarkson McJonathan, 74, would conduct “sleep studies” on his victims, sometimes with the victim imbibing alcohol or other drugs such as melatonin before sleeping. McJonathan has been charged with indecent assault, person unconscious. He was arrested in 2018 on multiple charges including corruption of minors, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of communication facility. An individual posing as a sheriff’s deputy claims the individual who answered the phone has missed a court date and is facing a warrant for arrest unless he or she pays the caller with gift cards.
