Waynesboro Community & Human Services Spread Holiday Cheer in 2023

WAYNESBORO- Waynesboro Community & Human Services had another successful holiday season in 2023, spreading cheer and making a difference in the lives of many in the community. Thanks to the generous donations of time and resources from volunteers and community members, hundreds of families were able to enjoy a happy and memorable holiday season.

Here are some highlights of Waynesboro Community & Human Services’ holiday efforts in 2023:

  • 258 Thanksgiving turkeys distributed: This ensured that families in need were able to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
  • 353 children received Christmas gifts: No child should go without presents on Christmas morning, and Waynesboro Community & Human Services made sure that 353 children had something special to open.
  • 354 Christmas meals distributed: Many families struggle to put food on the table during the holidays, and Waynesboro Community & Human Services provided Christmas meals to 354 families.
  • 86 volunteers: A huge thank you to the 86 volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the holidays special for others.
  • 138 Thanksgiving meals served: In addition to distributing Thanksgiving turkeys, Waynesboro Community & Human Services also served 138 Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

These numbers represent the incredible generosity and compassion of the Waynesboro community. Every turkey distributed, every gift wrapped, and every meal served was made possible by the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

The holiday season is a time for giving, and the Waynesboro community truly stepped up in 2023. Thanks to their efforts, hundreds of families had a happy and memorable holiday season.
