Luminest Holds Ribbon Cutting for Townhomes

CHAMBERSBURG- Luminest Community Development held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening and full occupancy for Meadow View Townhomes.

Meadow View Townhomes is a townhouse community located in Adams County just off Rt 34 north of town.   A total of 36 townhomes and a community room are in the Misty Ridge Community, the location is adjacent to a community built and managed by Pennsylvania Interfaith Community Programs Inc.

The community includes 24 two-bedroom and 12 three-bedroom townhomes. Each townhome has a garage.  Each home is one or two stories with a front porch, rear patio, garage, and driveway; the two-bedroom units will have vaulted living/dining rooms ceiling and the three-bedroom units have a bonus area for play/study.

The community building provides additional amenity space consisting of a community room with full kitchen, management, and supportive services offices. Meadow View Townhomes is designed to achieve National Green Building Standard Silver Level and Zero Energy Ready Home Program certifications.

“We’re so excited to bring affordable housing to Adams County,” said Bonnie Zehler, Executive Director of Luminest.  “This project is our first in Adams County and we hope to have future communities here,” Zehler said in her remarks.  Representatives from Cumberland Township, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, the community, staff and residents attended the Ribbon Cutting event.

“We continue to look for more opportunities to bring this much-needed service of affordable housing to our area,” said Zehler.
