Meet a guest artist. Seth Holmes will host an opening reception today, March 3, from 5:30-8 p.m. at 42 West Arts Co-Op. Holmes is a watercolor artist based in Waynesboro with a love of the local historic architecture and thriving community of independent small businesses and arts community.

Shop for a Zizzer-Zazzer-Zuzz. Wildflower Marketplace is hosting a Dr. Seuss Weekend through Saturday, March 4. The event will include carnival-type games and prizes in honor of Seuss.

Catch Cabin Fever. The 2023 Cabin Fever Craft Show will be held Saturday, March 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Green Grove Gardens near Greencastle. The event will include dozens of vendors.

Enjoy a winter wine. Winter Saturdays continue Saturday, March 4, from noon to 3 p.m. at Antietam Creek Vineyards. The tasting room will be open for wine club pickup and bottle sales.

Go for a hike. A winter hike will be held Sunday, March 5, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Monterey Pass Battlefield. The hike will follow the battle lines of the Michigan Troopers during the Midnight Fight at Monterey Pass, then proceed to Monterey Peak overlook, then down to the historic Maria Furnace Road, where most of the Confederate Army retreated following the battle of Gettysburg. Expect a steady climb of moderate grade to Monterey Peak overlook for about a mile. At the peak, an optional .5 mile loop trail over unimproved, rocky terrain is also available. Total distance is approximately 2.3-2.8 miles.
