CHAMBERSBURG–This week marked the start of the Franklin County Veterans Affairs MilitaryShare program.

Franklin County MilitaryShare provides fresh, nutritious food once a month, free of charge, to Franklin County families with at least one member who has served, or is currently serving, in the armed forces.

Distribution occurs on the first Tuesday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 425 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg.

The program is made possible thanks to a partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the Franklin County Human Services Block Grant.
