Summer camp opportunities offered for students in grades 1-6

WAYNESBORO—The Waynesboro Area YMCA will host a summer camp this year.

Each week, campers will swim weekly, enjoy the sights on a field trip adventures, create works of art and be amazed and entertained through activities that focus on science, cooking and nature. Campers will learn, explore, and create lifelong friendships and memories.

Sites for the 2022 Summer Camps include Summitview Elementary School, The Y and Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School.

Day Camp is available every weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning June 6 through Aug. 19. A non-refundable $25 registration fee is due at the time of registration. Campers may choose to attend all 11 weeks or select weeks.

Grades 1-3: Arts and crafts activities will encourage children to express themselves

Grades 4-6: Campers will embark on a summer adventure through activities designed to build character and promote responsibility. Activities will include art, science, swimming, cooking, gaming and projects.

Campers must be registered by the grade they are going into in the fall. Campers who are 5 years old but have not completed kindergarten should register for the Discovery Camp Program.

Registration for full-time options is currently open. Part-time registration will be available starting on April 4.
