MIFFLINTOWN – Farmers and those with agriculture-related businesses are invited to join Rep. John Hershey (R-Mifflin/Juniata/Franklin) for a breakfast Friday, March 18, in which Pennsylvania Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding will provide an update on the state’s leading industry.
The event is scheduled for Friday, March 18, from 8:30-10 a.m. at Walker Grange Annex of Mexico, 6611 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown.
“This breakfast is always a favorite event of mine because I can reconnect with people who have a farming background similar to mine,” Hershey said. “We have such high-quality speakers, and I find I learn something new every year at this breakfast.”
David Swartz, assistant director of programs for animal systems at Penn State Extension, will make a presentation on current threats and challenges on farms.
Registration is required for the free breakfast. Call 717-436-6001 to register or visit RepHershey.com/events.
