CHAMBERSBURG—The Franklin County Board of Commissioners will meet beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the administration building, 272 N. Second St., Chambersburg.

Included on the agenda:

  • The Board will consider appointing Brian Brake to the Agricultural Preservation Board to fill a vacancy through December 31, 2022.
  • Review a quote from Virtru for renewal of the County’s email encryption system for an amount of $11,021.40 for the period of March 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023.  Virtru integrates with Google to allow employees to encrypt emails containing sensitive information in order to be compliant with HIPAA and CJIS regulations.
  • Amendment #3 to the Food Services Agreement (dated April 1, 2019) between the County of Franklin and Summit Food Service, LLC to extend the agreement an additional one (1) year term at the jail. Each year an increase may occur based upon the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer CPI, US City Average Food Away From Home Table.  The 5% increase effective dates are: 4/1/2022 – 4/1/2023.
  • First Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Subrecipient Agreement between the County of Franklin and the Borough of Greencastle to reflect a new budget of $21,188.36 for FY 2016 and $228,019.00 for FY 2017 for their S. Jefferson Street Rehab Project.  All other terms and conditions of the original agreement will remain in full force and effect.
