Police incident in Maryland leads to precautionary WASD lockdown

WAYNESBORO–All schools in the Waynesboro Area School District are under lockdown Thursday afternoon at the advice of state and local police, according to district sources.

No students or district property are involved in the incident. The schools are locked down as a precaution.

A police incident began shortly after 2 p.m. and ended at Ringgold Pike at Misty Meadow Road in Maryland.

State Police from Pennsylvania and Maryland are reportedly on the scene. More details will be updated as provided.
