Damaris Rosa, 68, of Greencastle, PA passed away Friday, April 26, 2024 in Chambersburg Skilled Nursing. Born October 8, 1955 in New York, New York she was the daughter of the late Pancracio and Carmen (Lopez) Diaz.
Damaris earned her associates degree in 1985 for Social Work from Manhattanville College in Purchase NY. She was employed as a social worker in North Carolina for a number of years. She enjoyed dancing, playing paddle ball and hand ball and going to the beach.
She is survived by her daughter, Angelique C. Parker-Long and her husband Steve; three grandchildren, Eddie, Jr., Selena, and Artemisa; five siblings, Abigail Diaz, Lydia Torres, Dorcas Narvaez, Enrique Diaz and Percida “Pepsie” Byard; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rosa who passed away November of 1985 who was the Director of the HEOP (Higher Education Opportunity Program) and a sister, Nitza Maldonado.
