WAYNESBORO — The rescheduled National Night Out event took place on Aug. 13 at Memorial Park after its postponement from Aug. 6 due to the impacts of Tropical Storm Debby. The festivities ran from 6 to 8 p.m., offering a variety of activities for attendees, including K-9 demonstrations, food, drinks and ice cream. The event saw participation from numerous local agencies, showcasing community collaboration. Among the representatives were the Waynesboro Fire Department, Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department, U.S. Department of Forestry and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. Health and human services were well-represented as well, with organizations such as Keystone Health, the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and the Children’s Advocacy Center in attendance.
