WAYNESBORO – There’s the regular season, and there’s the postseason.
This weekend, the action will take place at the Clayton Avenue fields for the six-team tournament.

1 p.m. – Fulton County vs. Boro 10UB (South Field)
3:30 p.m. – Boro 10UA vs. Mercersburg (South Field)

The concession stand will open at 10 a.m. (cash or card).
Antietam Dairy and Chillin’ Out Snow Cones will be on site.
There will also be a dunk tank, 50/50 drawing, and a tennis ball toss game. Prizes include: a four-pack of Hagerstown Prizes include: a four-pack of Hagerstown Box Car tickets, two tickets to DelGrosso’s, passes for Chambersburg Aquatic Center, gift cards and more.
The Waynesboro 10U team is coming off two tournament wins in the last two weeks.

Waynesboro Youth League 10U All-Stars Win 2 Tournaments on consecutive weekends
Beginning Saturday morning June 29th in Walkersville, Maryland, and ending on Sunday afternoon July 7th in Mercersburg, the Waynesboro Youth League 10U All-Star team won two Tournaments with a combined record of 8 -1.
The 10U All-Stars were dominant in the Walkersville tournament from the first pitch to the last going 4-0 en route to the championship. Their first game of the season saw starting pitcher Acen Earhart
throw a shutout to garner the win over Hampstead, Maryland 10U All-Stars. Earhart struck out 10 while allowing just one hit and walking none. Carter Porcelli was 3 for 3 to lead the offense to a 12-0 victory in a game that ended after 4 innings due to the 10-run rule.
Parker Rihel tripled and singled while driving in 4 runs to lead the Waynesboro offense in their 13-0 win over LOUYAA while Bryson Fraley and Easton Heinbuch also chipped in with 2 hits apiece. Starting pitcher Porcelli picked up the win while combining with relief pitcher Isaac Fortney for the team’s 2nd shutout of the day.
Waynesboro continued their roll Sunday morning with a 13-1 win over Walkersville.

Lead-off batter Brixton Hollimon was 3 for 3 to set the tone for the All-Stars while Porcelli drove in 3 runs with his 2 hits.
After three straight wins, Waynesboro advanced to the championship where they won a rematch with LOUYAA by the score of 11-1. Ben Mowen joined Fraley, Fortney, and Rihel with 2 hits for Waynesboro. Fortney pitched 3 innings in relief of Fraley and was credited with the win.
After dominating their tournament in Walkersville the previous weekend, the Waynesboro 10U All-Stars got a rude awakening this past Saturday morning at the hands of the Fulton County 10U All-Stars. Waynesboro their first game of the Battle of the Burg in Mercersburg by a score of 15-10.
The Waynesboro All-Stars bounced back winning their second game 12-6 over the Bellwood 10U All-Stars. Fraley pitched 3 innings in relief for the win while Fortney paced the offense with 3 RBI’s and joined Kane Greenwood, Porcelli, Hollimon, Earhart and Rihel all with 2 hits apiece.
Sunday morning started with a bang as the Waynesboro All-Stars defeated the Green Hornets 10U All-Stars 22-2. Next, Waynesboro rolled over the South Huntington County 10U All-Stars 12-5. Raef Provard was 2 for 3 with 4 RBI’s to lead the Waynesboro attack. This win propelled Waynesboro into the tournament championship game setting up a rematch with Fulton County.
After several lead changes, Waynesboro fought back to tie the game in the top of the 4th at 4 runs each only to see Fulton County retake the lead in the bottom half of the frame 5-4 on a squeeze bunt. After a scoreless 5th inning, Waynesboro loaded the bases in time for a clutch single by Hollimon driving in 2 runs to take the lead. Another run scored on a Fulton County error. Fulton county refused to fold, loading the bases in the bottom of the last inning before Fraley, pitching in relief, retired the side recording the last out on a fly ball for Waynesboro’s 2nd tournament championship. The final score was Waynesboro 7, Fulton County 5.
“Every kid on this squad has contributed both at the plate and in the field” said head coach Josh Porcelli. “They have run the bases aggressively, played good defense and the whole team has played a part in our success.”
