High school scores and standings from April 22-27

We’ve gone through nearly a full season of girls track dual meets in the Mid-Penn Colonial Division, and yet with one meet remaining the division is still in doubt.

That’s because both Greencastle-Antrim and Waynesboro are tied for the division lead with identical 5-0 records. By the end of the week, however, only one of these teams will be left standing as division champions as the Blue Devils and Maidens are set to meet on Tuesday. The Greencastle boys (5-0) will also be looking to seal up a division title, with Waynesboro (3-2) looking to play the role of spoiler.

On the baseball diamond, Waynesboro continued its solid season with a pair of one-run victories, keeping the Indians firmly in first place in the Colonial. Greencastle’s softball team also leads the Colonial, as the Blue Devils solidified their first-place standing with a couple of blowout wins.

Finally, the undefeated season continues for the Smithsburg boys lacrosse team, which improved to 11-0 last week with a 6-3 win over South Carroll.
