Waynesboro Students Shine at Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Competition

WAYNESBORO- The Waynesboro Area School District is celebrating the success of its students at the 2024 regional Scholastic Art and Writing competition.

The district’s region encompasses all of Southcentral Pennsylvania, including approximately 70 school districts. Students competed in 11 writing and 16 art categories, with the top winners earning prestigious Gold Key awards and advancing to the national competition

The national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards winners will be announced in June. Waynesboro students who received regional Gold Keys will now have their work judged at the national level, with the potential to earn even higher accolades.

Ania Minnich – Gold Key – Critical Essay

                        Gold Key – Film and Animation

                        Silver Key – Poetry

Chloe Shacreaw – Gold Key – Personal Essay and Memoir

                              Honorable Mention – Short Story

                              Honorable Mention – Film and Animation

Dillon Hull – Gold Key – Flash Fiction

Zoe Bowersox – Silver Key – Dramatic Script

                          Honorable Mention – Short Story

                          Honorable Mention – Poetry
