WAYNESBORO- In a heartwarming celebration of Black History Month and the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., the Unity and Diversity Committee of Waynesboro Area Fellowship of Churches recently held a Poster Contest to honor the contributions of individuals who have enriched America’s history. The theme, “The time is always right to do what is right,” inspired participants to showcase their creativity and understanding of the importance of standing up for justice. The winners were announced with great pride and congratulations extended to Lucie Princler for 2nd grade and under, Zoe Princler for 3rd – 6th grade, and Jaden Princler for 7th – 12th grade. Each winner received gift certificates from Mary Margaret at the Morning Star Christian Book and Gift Store, as well as Rev. Linda Watkins from the Waynesboro Area Fellowship of Churches. The proud mother, Natasha, shared in the joy of their achievements. The prize-winning posters are currently displayed at the Waynesboro YMCA, inviting all to witness the powerful messages conveyed through these inspiring works of art.
