High school scores and standings from Feb. 5-10

Area basketball and wrestling squads were wrapping up the regular season last week, but for swimmers in the Mid-Penn Conference, the postseason is already underway.

Last weekend’s Mid-Penn Championships, held at Cumberland Valley, saw Local.News teams Chambersburg and Waynesboro take center stage. The Trojan boys finished second out of 20 teams, while the Indian boys placed 10th. On the girls side, it was Waynesboro taking fourth and Chambersburg claiming the seventh spot.

While area swimmers gear up for the district and state championships, wrestling will heat up this week with team playoff matches in Maryland and the individual postseason in Pennsylvania.

As for basketball, playoffs are almost set to take off in Pennsylvania, while Maryland teams still have a full week of regular-season games to play.
