CHAMBERSBURG- Norland Avenue Pharmacy announced today that Ashli Yoder, Pharm. D., was awarded one of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association’s (PPA) Ten Under Ten Awards at their annual Leadership and Awards Dinner on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

The Ten Under Ten Awards recognize the top ten pharmacists practicing for less than ten years that demonstrate commitment to advancing the profession, involvement in PPA and other pharmacy associations, and/or service to their community. In addition to the dinner, winners are recognized through a spread in the Pennsylvania Pharmacist. 2014 was the first year these awards were presented, and they will continue to be presented every three years.

“I was not surprised that the PPA recognized Ashli for all she has done in such a short period of time,” Dr. Wayne Myers, owner of Norland Avenue Pharmacy said. “Ashli is passionate about working with the members of our community to help them achieve optimal health.”

Dr. Yoder is originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania, but moved to Frederick, Maryland, after receiving her Doctorate in Pharmacy from Shenandoah University. In addition to helping fill traditional prescriptions, Dr. Yoder is responsible for the clinical services at Norland Avenue Pharmacy including Medication Therapy Management (MTM). MTM consists of one-on-one complete medication reviews with patients to help optimize their therapy. She also oversees the pharmacy’s free RxSync program and the health coaches that are assigned to help patients simplify their medication management.

Located in the WellSpan Health Campus, Patrick O’Donnell Pavilion, Norland Avenue Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy and the only local pharmacy specializing in compounded prescriptions that has achieved Accreditation from the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB). Compounding is the pharmacy method of preparing customized medications to meet unique physician and patient needs. Norland Avenue Pharmacy features a USP800 compliant compounding lab; a full line of vitamins, supplements, essential oils, and CBD/hemp products, a convenient drive-thru; a unique gift shop; and a private consultation room. The pharmacy focuses on supporting and educating customers on their journey to optimal health through free monthly newsletters and informative seminars and through the nutrition specialists and health educators on staff to answer questions.
