SHIPPENSBURG – The Waynesboro varsity boys’ basketball team put an end to a three-game losing skid by posting a 58-49 Mid-Penn Colonial Division win against the Shippensburg Greyhounds on Friday night.
The Indians had to come from behind in this game as they trailed 32-26 at halftime. However, a strong second half propelled Waynesboro to the win. The Tribe (4-8) outscored Shippensburg 15-7 in the third quarter and 17-10 in the fourth period to leave with the win.
Farin Parks and Alex Torbica led the Waynesboro scoring attack. Torbica tallied 20 points and Parks finished with 16 points. Torbica added five assists from his post position.
Waynesboro returns for its first home game since Dec. 22 when the Indians host Greencastle-Antrim on Tuesday.
