WAYNESBORO- Christmas cheer crackled in the air at the Hurley Auction Center, Waynesboro. Elves of a different kind—Rotarians Matt Gunder, Chastity Wantz, Tracy Holliday, and a dedicated crew—bustled, wrapping holiday bundles for 189 local children. Matt’s wife Stacy, daughter Maddie, and friend Kevin added festive touches, their spirits buoyed by Kaleb Hurley’s generosity in providing the space.

The magic continued as a new team of elves, over 20 Waynesboro Area School District National Honor Society students, joined the Rotarian Bill Kohler, his wife Karen, and their son Jackson. Cookies, chocolates, and heartwarming tunes filled the air as nimble fingers transformed ordinary gifts into Christmas miracles. As the wrapping paper danced, one could almost hear the joyous echoes of Christmas morning, a testament to the boundless generosity of Waynesboro’s elves, human and otherwise.
