CHAMBERSBURG- The Franklin County Historical Society is set to host a tea party fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Saint Paul UMC, 750 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg.

The event, open to both Society members and the public, will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.

Attendees can look forward to tea, food, and a presentation by retired Colonel Frank Hancock. Tickets are priced at $30 each and can be purchased at 175 East King Street, Chambersburg, by calling 717-264-1667, or online at franklinhistorical.org.

The fundraiser aims to support the nonprofit Society, which has been serving the community through its tours, genealogy library, events, and educational presentations at The Old Jail, its home since 1818. For further information, interested individuals can contact Jenny Shifler at [email protected] or 717-264-1667.
