Reuben is a 7-month-old lab who was surrendered to the shelter by his owner. He is shy but sweet and has lived outside for most of his life. When Rueben arrived at the shelter he became very ill. He was urinating blood and it was discovered he had a urinary worm, which come from eating earth worms. With some medication and TLC, Reuben has recovered and is doing very well! He also tested positive for Lyme disease. He is currently on antibiotics for this. Reuben will need someone that understands that he will need time and some work to help him become a confident dog. Tia came into the shelter as a stray and had a bad urinary tract infection. We put her on antibiotics and she has healed nicely. Tia is a sweet, active girl who loves attention and can be pretty nosy when she wants to be. Are you Tia’s special human?
