WAYNESBORO- Post 15 of the Waynesboro American Legion has been awarded the Blood Drive award for a Class 5 Post for the 25th consecutive year. The Post collected 662 units of the reported 1331 units collected statewide, which is 49.7% of all blood drive collections in Pennsylvania. This is a remarkable achievement for the Post, which has committed to this endeavor for decades.

The Blood Drive award is given to departments by size category for the greatest participation by Legion posts in the Blood Donor Program. Post 15 has been a consistent winner of this award, and their dedication to this vital effort is commendable. The Post recognizes all of the devoted volunteers who support this cause and thanks them for their efforts.

The next American Legion blood drive is Thursday, Aug. 3. Noon to 6 p.m.
