WASHS students earn scholarships

WAYNESBORO–Three Waynesboro Area Senior High School students have been awarded scholarships by Waynesboro College Club.

They include:

Cameron Witte was awarded $7,000. She will attend Millersville University to pursue a degree in accounting.

Nora Dickey was awarded $7,000. She will attend Towson University to pursue a degree in communications/film/ media arts.

Brendan Peyton was awarded $6,000. He will attend Kent State University to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.

The winners were announced at the club’s 89th banquet May 17 in Waynesboro Country Club.

Officers of the club for the 2023-24 year are:  Lynn MacBride, president; Barbara Hayes, vice president; Chris Bradley, recording secretary; Debbie Pflager, corresponding secretary; and Ruth Strausbaugh, treasurer.
