HOPALONG

When Hopalong came into the shelter as a stray, it was evident he was having some real problems with his right hind leg. A veterinarian took a look and discovered that he had a dislocated hip that had been that way for a long while. Because his hip couldn’t be put back into place, it was decided to have it amputated. Hopalong is doing incredibly well with three legs and while he may not be able to jump as high as some cats, it certainly does not slow him down! He is a typical 6-month-old kitten who loves to run and play! Hopalong is hoping that someone can look past his missing leg and decide to make him their forever friend! Could that be you?

MAVERICK

Maverick came into the shelter after he’d had been seen running for several days. He’s a 5-year-old Shepherd mix who is about 50 pounds. He could stand to gain a couple of pounds – running on his own took its toll on him. Maverick is a friendly guy who enjoys getting attention and loves to go out to the play yard and play! He can be stubborn at times when he does not want to do something but is highly food motivated and can usually be bribed. Because we have no history with children, an age restriction may apply. Please discuss this with shelter staff. Do you have the right spot for Maverick?
