Go batty. Caledonia State Park will host a Batty Talk and Spooky Walk Friday, Oct. 28, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. beginning at the park office. Get smart on bats and enjoy a storywalk on Whispering Pine Nature Trail. Bring a flashlight.

Drop off unwanted drugs. National Prescription Take Back Day is Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart Waynesboro. Washington Township Police will accept unwanted/expired prescription drugs. Drugs may be in their original containers.

Get to know the community. Waynesboro’s Community Service Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, from noon to 4 p.m. at Memorial Park. More than 50 groups have been invited to attend. The event will include entertainment, face painting, emergency vehicle tours and more.

Celebrate tradition. The 95th Alsatia Mummers’ Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. in downtown Hagerstown. Spectators can enjoy the Mummers’ Parade almost anywhere along the parade route.

Go to the dogs. A Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds. Dress up your loveable pooch for Halloween and enjoy pet-friendly vendors & treats.
