Get crafty. A Kids’ Paint Night will be held Friday, Oct. 21, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Chatty Chameleon in Greencastle. Registration is $20 and includes instruction and materials. Registration required at www.chattychameleon.com.

Visit the living dead. The Haunted Jail 2022 will be open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, from 7-10 p.m. in the Old Jail in Chambersburg. Children 12 and under must be with an adult. Admission is $12 for adults; $7 for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the Franklin County Historical Society.

Trunk-or-Treat! The Waynesboro Area YMCA will host Trunk or Treat Sat., Oct. 22, fro 3 to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Have s’more fun. A Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the Church of the Apostles, 336 Barnett Ave., Wayne Heights. The event kicks off with a hot dog dinner at 5 p.m., followed by games, activities and hayride from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and a campfire with s’mores at 6:30 p.m. Kids can visit the pumpkin patch and choose one to paint. Everything is free.

Take in some history. In honor of Fire Prevention Month, visit the open house at Chambersburg Volunteer Fireman’s Museum on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Relive over 100 years of firefighting. Tours of the museum are free, but donations are appreciated.
