Take in a family flick. Free Family Movie Night will be offered Friday, Aug. 19, at 8 p.m. at New Guilford BIC, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg. The feature is faith-based film, “Family Camp” (PG-1:51)—the first feature film from The Skit Guys, and is a laugh-out-loud comedy that will touch the hearts and tickle the funny bones of every family member from eight to 80. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own chairs/blankets to settle in and get comfortable.

Make some new friends. Chambersburg Community Theatre & Friends will perform Friday, Aug. 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Music Makers, 46 W. Main St., as they shine the spotlight on an evening of songs from Broadway musicals including Wicked, Dear Evan Hanson, Songs for a New World, Guys and Dolls, Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Tangled, The Addams Family and Newsies. Performers will include Zoe Mason, Ginger Moore, Sarah Sutton, Kelly Kozlowski, Amoretta Shultz, Patrick McNamee, and Aaron Trusky. The singers will be accompanied by pianist Valerie Merriman.

Celebrate Celtic. Across the Pond, a Celtic trio with a twist, will perform Saturday, Aug. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m at Monterey Pass Battlefield Park. Food and beverages will be available.

Get saucy. Saucy Fest will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Frederick Fairgrounds, Frederick, Maryland. The family-friendly event will feature artisan sauce vendors (including Waynesboro’s own Bar-B-Que Beast!), food and beverages. Visit www.saucyfestival.com for tickets.

Celebrate National Honey Bee Day. Buzz Worthy Apiary will celebrate the milestone with face painting, giveaways and a live honey bee hive from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Market at the Park.
