Make magic. The 6th annual Waynesboro Wizarding Weekend will offer tea, brews, cauldrons, wands, movies, books, magical creatures, costume contests and a Yule Ball, plus many businesses will be decked out in all of their magical glory. Begin in Mainstreet Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Friday and Saturday.

Get corny. The Ringgold Ruritan 4th Annual Corn Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sold out Saturday, Aug. 6.  Enjoy delicious local corn on the cob and amazing food by Cluck’N Around BBQ! Meals by Cluck ‘N Around BBQ include 1/2 BBQ chicken, an ear of roasted corn, mac and cheese, a corn muffin, and a bottle of water for $13. Homemade Chicken Corn Soup by the 12 oz cup for $3 or quart for $8. 1 dozen ears of fresh local corn (uncooked) $7/doz.

Ride a choo-choo. City Park Train Hub will host rides on Tommy 202 included with admission Saturday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. City Park Train Hub is home of the City Park Railroad Museum and Steam Locomotive Engine #202. The museum includes items mainly from a collection of the Western Maryland Railroad Company. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for children 6-12. Children 5 and under are admitted for free.

Cross an old bridge. A public drive-thru of Martins Mill Bridge will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Cars, pick-up trucks, motorcycles and more are invited to drive through the historic bridge in Antrim Township. Start at the west of Martins Mill Bridge via West Weaver Road. The event is part of Greencastle’s Old Home Week.

Hear smooth tunes. The WASHS Alumni Band Concert will be held Saturday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School auditorium.
