WAYNESBORO–Lifeguards are needed across the midstate and the Waynesboro Area YMCA can help with certification.
Water safety is a high priority for the YMCA. Throughout the year, the Y offers American Red Cross lifeguard training courses in order to teach individuals how to keep members of their community safe.
The YMCA is offering lifeguard certification (July 29-31) and a re-certification class (Aug 5th). Certification includes First Aid and CPR. Certification lasts 2 years. Participants must be 15 years old.
