WAYNESBORO – Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library invites the community to join it for a fun winter reading challenge where kids, teens and adults all work together to earn cool stuff for the library.

The community reading goal is 20,000 minutes read for January and February. If the Waynesboro community meets its group goal, the Friends of the Library will donate: New Kids’ Launchpads; Mixer, Blender, & Bowl Set for Kitchen Programs; Instant Pot Duo Pressure Cooker & Instant Pot Blender.

Plus, those who complete the challenge bingo will be entered to win a raffle basket.

Sign up at reading.ahmfl.org, or at the library, then log in to your account to track your minutes over the two months. Can’t log online? You can also track your minutes in your winter reading pamphlet, then bring the log to the library to be counted.

Pre-K readers will participate in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program throughout January and February as a part of the winter reading program. Readers not yet in school log the number of books they read—1 book will equal 5 minutes of reading. Parents of Pre-K children, please select “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” when creating your child’s winter reading account.
