WAYNESBORO—The Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library wants to share the love of holiday lights this season through the Waynesboro Community Christmas Lights Project.
Library officials are looking for photos of local outdoor light displays.
“Participating is very simple,” said Karen Sourbier, adult services specialist. “Take a picture of your outdoor Christmas light displays. Submit your picture(s) to the library at [email protected] no later than Dec. 11.
Sourbier said the Lights Project, in its final format, will be a video with music highlighting the community and will be aired virtually and provided to those who cannot get out to see the lights first-hand.
The Waynesboro Community Christmas Lights Project finished video will be available for sharing virtually through the library’s Facebook page, website, and YouTube page. Additionally, the library will have the video available for those that do not have access to the internet.
“Community support is needed to make this project happen, so please take your pictures and send them right away,” Sourbier said. “The goal is to have the video in completed format to publish and distribute on or before Dec. 17.
