Monterey Country Club. This nine-hole course is one of the oldest golf courses in the U.S. It’s situated just a mile from the Mason-Dixon Line and stretches below the peaks of Mt. Dunlap (1,720 ft) and Monterey Peak (1,365) at 12579 Monterey Lane in Blue Ridge Summit. The course is open to the public and offers a pro shop and memberships. Penn National Golf Club & Inn. You’ll find 36 championship holes of golf between these two courses—Founders and Iron Forge, starting at 3720 Clubhouse Drive, Fayetteville. The tree-lined Founders Course, designed by Edmund Ault, opened in 1968 and was updated in 2006. Iron Forge, designed by Bill Love, opened for play in 1997 and offers open, breathtaking views. South Mountain Golf Course. This 9-hole course is tucked away on the side of the mountain between Mont Alto and South Mountain at 9632 Swamp Road, South Mountain. Waynesboro Country Club. Whether you’re looking for golfing, swimming, tennis or pickleball, WCC offers great gift ideas through a variety of different types of memberships, including for student golfers. The club includes a 6,596-yard championship 18-hole course with multiple tees for men and women.
