CHAMBERSBURG—Community members who want to honor a veteran can join the Pa. Blue Jackets and U.S. Naval Sea Cadets by participating in the Wreaths Across America program.

Your $15 tax deductible donation places a wreath on a Veteran’s Grave for the Christmas Season. Donate at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/158913/ or contact a member of the PA Blue Jackets via email at [email protected].

The Pa. Blue Jackets unit consists of cadets from the ages of 10-17 and are a combination of students from many different school districts across Franklin County and beyond.

The Cadets receive exposure to the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and the Naval Sea Cadet Corps program, with the opportunity to experience life aboard ships at sea, learn to fly, scuba dive, sail, fight fires, cook, lead others or just have fun building a camaraderie with other cadets in the program.

The Pa. Blue Jackets unit meets monthly at the Marine Corps League in Chambersburg and is open to youth interested in any branch of the military.

Donations must be completed prior to Nov. 30.

The PA Blue Jackets will be participating in placing the wreaths on the graves at Ft. Indiantown Gap on Dec. 18.
