Richard Rhodes, 68, passed away January 7, 2025, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. He was born January 18, 1956, in Philadelphia, the son of the late Catherine and George Rhodes. Richard married Pamela Rhodes on August 27, 1983, and went on to have two children. He worked with Mowery Construction for 20 years before integrating with the Menno Haven community in 2017, where he developed numerous friends that became like family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading the Bible, and working in construction. One of his greatest personal accomplishments and favorite memories was building his family home. He also loved watching Penn State football and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. What brought him the most joy however, were his grandbabies Tessa and Ava. Richard is survived by his children: Ciera Logue and Mark Rhodes; brothers: Timothy Rhodes, Daniel Rhodes, Paul Rhodes, Matthew Rhodes; and sister, Kathleen Rhodes. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pamela Rhodes; and brother, George (Dusty) Rhodes Jr. He will be laid to rest with his wife at Richfield cemetery. Services will be private.
