We were literally on the run and needed a quick bite, so we stopped into Keystone Family Restaurant. They are located at 10530 Buchanan Trail East, Waynesboro, PA. We had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on wheat toast–done nicely, with some extra bacon. Who doesn’t like extra bacon? They feature a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffer. They also have a large banquet room for private parties and business events. We also saw mouth-watering pies and a gift shop. Stop by and give them a try. Tell them Local.News sent you!

We tried Nikki’s Ramen for a late dinner last weekend. They are located at 22 W. Main St., downtown Waynesboro, or on the web at http://www.nikkisramen.com The dining room is small, intimate and comfortable. We took a look at their website before we arrived to determine which ramen and appetizer we would enjoy the most. For appetizer, we chose the cheese and corn sticks, which are—who won’t love this?—deep-fried cream cheese, sweet corn, bell pepper and topped with a sweet chili sauce on a bed of green and purple cabbage. OMG, so, so good! There were three of us, so we each…

This trip, we stopped into Paul’s Country Market located 6374 Nunnery Road, just outside of Waynesboro. They say you shouldn’t visit a grocery store, especially when you are hungry, but we did this on purpose so we’d be sure to try everything we like. Of course, everyone knows about Paul’s Country Market. It’s an authentic country store, market and greenhouse. We tried the deviled eggs (OMG!) and ordered a sandwich at the deli counter. Who knew they make their own potato chips? Hard pretzels? Of course, their own seasoned parmesan. We took a seat in Paul’s Lunch Pail dining room and…
